Bishop Lennon Mixed Media Paintings @ Tilde in November

Tilde will host a 1st Friday Reception for the Portland artist Bishop Lennon. Her current work involves stretched canvas, acrylic paint, ink, pastels and collage with delicate layers of tissue paper. She is inspired by street art and stencils as well as creating her work around themes. Her current theme of choice is “Flowers of the Month.” Reception from 6pm-9pm, Friday, November 6th. Show will run through Sunday, November 29th.

Whimsical is probably the best word to describe Bishop’s paintings. “I smile a lot when I’m drawing and painting and my hope is that people do he same when the see the finished piece,” she says. Bright colors and a lighthearted sense of wonder are also present throughout her artwork.
