Tilde First Friday, Now 2nd Friday

Elizabeth Soule’s ( photography ) will be the featured artist at Tilde, Friday, June 11th.  Show runs through Wednesday, June 30th. There will not be a 1st Friday art reception held in June for this show. Tilde is located in Sellwood at 7919 SE 13th Avenue. 503.234.9600.

Photography has always interested me. I love dropping a piece of paper into the developer and watching the image emerge. It amazes me every time. I studied photography in school; film cameras, black and white printing and alternative processes. I’ve always resisted digital photography, but each day I learn a little more and realize it is an important part of the process.

I currently live in Portland, Or and can say hands down it’s the best place I’ve ever lived. I photograph with a Polaroid SX-70 camera, a Polaroid SLR 680, a Holga and a variety of other film cameras. I’m continually trying out new ideas and experimenting with different processes. 

The Venue:  Tilde, a modern lifestyle shop, offers a well-edited selection of women’s accessories and home decorative items that are created, hands-on, by either an individual artist or design group. Displayed in a home/gallery environment each product has an artist’s statement displayed nearby to reveal the story behind each item.
