First Friday Galleries Participate in Passport to Sellwood & Westmoreland

On Saturday, August 7, the Sellwood and Westmoreland neighborhoods will be festooned in bright color, as giant balloons swing from every street corner, inviting all to celebrate as businesses open their doors for the “Passport to Sellwood Westmoreland” Summer Sale.

The ‘Passport to Sellwood & Westmoreland” event encourages the exploration of the many different retail stores, restaurants and services this area of Portland has to offer. In the interactive “Passport to Sellwood & Westmoreland” game visitors of all ages spend the dayexploring the Sellwood Westmoreland neighborhood, browsing, eating and having a great weekend day in the city, all the while trying to amass at least 8 stamps in their ‘Passport’. There is no purchase required to attain a stamp. 8 stamps enter you in a drawing to win gift certificates donated from over 105 local businesses. There will also be a chance to win four large grand prizes.
